Sister, Happy Birthday - RS113

Good Morning!!!! 

Today's feature a lovely-elegant-lavendar Birthday Card for one of my lovely sister, Elaine Hoang. Her birthday is on May 13 and lavender is her favorite color and to be honest, one of the hardest color for me to pull together, so hopefully I did bring it hehe

A little about Elaine, from the outside, she's a toughie, but oh man oh man, she has the sweetest most caring loving heart. She's always the first in line whether it is to listen to you, telling you to woman/man up, to go out, to eat out, to....just anything you can name and at anytime of the day no matter where you are, she'll be there. She is just one-of-the best person you'll feel super luck to have her as a friend, so having her as a sister, all of the Hoangs (my siblings) are as you can tell, very fortunate.

So I thought I'll make a card, as lovely as her...

Keroppi Bday Card - FMS134 & CMCC18

Hello There!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the nice beautiful weather (except with allergies strikes....yuck!! and eeeek!!! I know how that feels)....

BUT any who, thought I'll start back up with a cute adorable Birthday Card that I made for one of my old old (hehe) friend, Fanny Sy. Her birthday isn't until May 6th, but I know I don't want to end up waiting for the last minute to make this. 

Remember when you were a kid...beside Hello Kitty, there were also cutie froggie Keroppi - Fanny's favorite? So I thought I'll attempt to make that cutie pie froggie...easy enough right?!? And it was =) 

Turned out cute hehe =) Here's the rest of the card...the inside and the back...

And here's how to make it...very easy =) 1) Punch it out using the below pictures for the shapes. 2) Sponge the Smallest Ovals to give it a dimension, 3) Trim the chevron border punch out a little, 4) Trim the Owl Builder biggest circle for the hands (see card picture). 

And if you want to know how to create the front back, all you need is Stampin' Up Sponge....and sponge away...slowly start from the bottom and make your way up...keep dapping for more ink using Stampin' Up ink pad....

Here's my inspiration for the layout - Freshly Made Sketches#135 & the colors glad I was able to choose the colors from Colour Me! CMCC#18. Hope you find time to join these fabulous groups!!! 

It was super-duper fun coming up with this...I hope Fanny (as I call her Sy, by her last name) likes it. ;) As I would say....this is sooooo her heheh ;)

Wedding Invitation - Nirla & Simon

Hi There!!!

WoooooHoooo!!!!  Wooohooo!!! Wooohooo!!! All 70 of these invitations are completed completed COMPLETED!!! It was such an honor to make these cards for Nirla and Simon. I want to THANK THEM for letting me be apart of there wonderful journey together.

So how did I come about making invitations?!?...hmm...so about two or so months ago, Jeremie, my friend's fiancee Emily asked me if I can make his friends' invitation who are getting married in July....of course I'M NOT GOING TO SAY NO. SO YES YES YES!!! And I'm glad I agreed to do it too, because Nirla and Simon, they are such a sweet cute couple. I'm so glad to meet them and be apart of this. 

The invitation idea and inspiration were from Nirla and Simon. If you look at the invitation, there's two hearts represent Simon's homeland, Russia and the other Nirla's homeland in Peru. The two birdies are them who flew across oceans to find each other in SF. So the idea of a flight ticket was also inspired from that. 

So here goes....here's alllllllll of them!!!! I'm so glad they loved the design and the layout! It was super-duper fun creating it and hehehe creating one was super fun....creating 70 was super challenging!!! But I did get to sit in front of the TV and catch some movies on Netflix. ;)

The directions from two different airport to the magical event....I thought was a cute idea to provide directions from the airport to the magical night. hehe giving that the invitation itself is "flying/traveling"....

Please note, I created the invitation set using Adobe Illustrator. The dove punch & hearts are Martha Steward's. The circle & corner punches are Stampin' Up and CS used - Cherry Cobbler, Elegant Plum & retired Pale Purple cardstocks. I also used Stampin' Up Crystal Effects on the birdies and the hearts (click to zoom in and see).
