Naked Chocolate Cake with Fruit Recipe - YUM!!!

Hello There!!!

Today I want to share with you a Chocolatey Naked-Cake I baked for one of my very good friend, Emily Voong. We're supposed to be celebrating her birthday in another two weeks, but she was super sweet and understanding that I was busy...So, we decided yesterday to get together today!!! So I was like, what will be an easy enough cake for me to bake for her for her birthday...THE NAKED CAKE!!!! it's super easy and super simple! Not technically skills involved - meaning decorations, BUT that is the fun and beauty of this....The non-decoration IS the decoration!!!! I am pretty in love with the naked cake type of decoration...it's elegant and super pretty. I love how fondant looks, but no one ever eats them and i feel like it's such a waste, so why not use fruits - taste yummie and it's healthy and you get your vitamins ;) so I give you...

are you drooling yet? haha! I know I was!!!

[ Here's how I layered the center of the cake ]

[ Here's the Birthday Girl - Emily!!! ]

I always have so much fun hanging out with my Em Em ;) We went to Oz and ate 20 pounds of food and then enjoyed a Thai Tea at Moo Moo. We were too stuffed to cut the cake and eat it too, but I did tried the cake and it was oooh sooo yummie and light!!!! The whipped cream is yummie, I've made it before and that is coming from someone who doesn't like whipped cream too (O-M-G right? crazy weirdo me right?!).

Give the recipes a try and let me know what you think! Thanks for dropping by!!!

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY EM EM!!! TO MANY MANY MORE GREAT TIMES!!!

Good Night!!!

Casino Dessert Table - Jessica's 34th Birthday

Hello There!

Sorry! I didn't mean to not be blogging...BUT I haven't been lazy crafting and baking. Today I'm sharing with you a Casino Dessert Table for one of my very good friend/hiking buddy, Jessica Silakhom's 34th birthday. Her sister, Karen contacted me and she wanted to throw a surprised birthday party for Jessica and hired me to create a casino dessert table and oh boy, was it soooooo stinking fun!!! And it's always an honor when someone loves and invites me to be apart of a wonderful celebration.

A little something about Jessica that I think her family, relatives, friends, and anyone who knows her agrees. Just an FYI, she isn't a gambler or love love casino, her sister, Karen thought it would be a cool idea to create a casino theme - which I think is perfect! It represent Jessica in another way - the high roller rush when she hikes 12+ miles all the way up to a 3,000+ elevation gain; she constantly bets on her life with her adventurous rush in hikes, vacations, obstacles, and much much more! The best way to represent how sweet, giving, kind and a lot more is to show how sweet she is with all the varieties of desserts.

So I give you....

There are dices, chips, cards, shot glasses...and much much more that screams FUN!!! LET'S PLAY!!!

*NOTE:  The photos above are different from the photo below because I usually pre-set everything up at my places and take photos ;) this way it also helps me know what I need to bring and not forget something ;) and only usually takes me 30 mins or so to set up ;)

Please note, the cake in the center is baked and designed by Sweet Escape by Betty.

[ Here's the birthday girl - JESSICA!!! ]

I hope you enjoyed today's post!!! I know I super enjoyed the party..i ate so much i think i gained another 20+ pounds! Everything was super-duper delicious!!! Everyone there were super-duper friendly and funny! I'm was so glad to be apart of this!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN JESSICA!!!!

Quick & Fast Dessert Table

Good Morning!!!

Did some baking yesterday and wanted to share a fun and fast dessert table set up that one of my coworker, Margie Gordon and I did for our manager, Stacey Howell yesterday for her birthday. We wanted to create a fun yet easy dessert table in celebration of her birthday. So I was in charge of cupcakes and Margie was in charge of cookies and she did three!!! I felt soo bad...my cupcakes where the only thing that turned out right...i did a cheesecake and =( during the bath, it soaked the cheesecake and i didn't have enough time to start all over =( But that's okay, everyone super-enjoyed everything!!! So phew! no one has to know about my cheesecake right? hehe

I used a few of my dessert stands and plates and used some candy jars filled with yummies...with a few minutes of set up...I give you...

Happy Birthday Butterfly Basics - CMCC#53

Happy Monday!!!

Today's fun post is the lovely Butterfly Basics stamp set and the elegant preeeeeetttttty Butterflies Thinlits that are a must must have to your creative collection!!! I'll be using a lot of these two! ;) So I decided to create a Birthday card with it, since it already came with a lovely "Happy Birthday" sentiment, AND it'll be one of my Managers' birthday, Yolanda's the end of this month.

[ Happy Birthday Butterfly Basics - Front of the Card]
I loved how it all turned out! The butterfly is soon preeeeettttttyyyy! It is super-duper elegant, just like my manager, Yolanda! I used one of the Butterflies Thinlits die cut and layered the butterflies to get that "flapping" look hehe ;) Doesn't the butterfly looks ike it is going to fly away? hehe! Then I sponged it with some ink and added some liquid pearls and pearls. ;) Wa-lah! ;)

[ Happy Birthday Butterfly Basics - Close Ups of the Card]

And the timing couldn't be perfect, her favorite color is shades of Purple, Colour Me CMCC#53 was perfect to use for this creation! Thanks Ladies!!! Make sure to join in on the fun, just a few more hours!!!
Thanks for dropping by!!! Hope you enjoyed today's creation! ;)

[Wood You Be Mine? - Front of the Card]

[Wood You Be Mine? - Inside of the Card]
I absolutely love the Heart Confetti Border Punch!! Look at how cute these mini hearts are! All I did was add glue and keep adding glue to adhere the pile of hearts. So fun and so simple and the outcome is stinking cute!!!

Macaron Attempted - Failed...but getting close =)

Hi!!!!

So, I didn't make it to my crafting room, but again made it into the kitchen! Trying to attempt macarons and I FAILED! but I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE UP!!! I made a promise to myself that I'll learn these little suckers!!! So far, they're coming up with feet, but they're hollow!!! I tried 5 times, 3 times yesterday night and two times this morning and my FIFTH BATCH!!! a tad hollow but not super-duper yet!!! Until i get it right, I won't share what I did. I'll try to get it right and then share it, but haha! i guess posting this failure will encourage me to try it more and tell others it's okay to fail!

I got to admit, these little suckers are sooo adorable, but they are hahah a pain!!!!! Here's my fifth macaron batch attempt...looks pretty close right? hehe! I'm still going to keep trying once i get my hands on more almond flour.

Here's how the inside of my macarons turned out...see not super-duper hollow right? hehe but i know i know I'll need a lot more practice...=)

I hope you're starting your morning a lot better than my failure macaron attempt (hehe).

I think this time I'm really going into my craft room and do a little Stamping' Up stamping to get my minds off macarons, or haha I might end up making a macaron card! we'll see!!!

Happy Sunday to you!!!

Thank you,

A Very Berry Trifle - Yummie!!!

Happy be-lated New Year!!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year! So I still didn't get a chance to spend hours in my craft room yet but I spent some time in the kitchen again. It's a YUMMIIIIIIE dessert you'll want to give it a try yourself, a little healthy but heck, that cream is just YUMMIE!!! I personnally don't eat cream, but oh man oh man, THIS CREAM IS A MUST TRY!!! I think the orange extract made it super yummie!!! and heck, add in a fluffy yummie Angel Food Cake and some fresh berries, oh my oh my oh my!!!!

Fruits + Cream + Angel Food Cake = DROOLING!!!
Look how yummie it looks! It's super easy to make ;)

Wondering where I got these cute little individual trifle bowls, I got them at Pier 1 Imports - aren't they super-duper adorable?!? I've always wanted to make a trifle and so glad i found a good recipe to try it out and doesn't they look soooooo darn yummie!!!! You can get these mason jars anywhere - Target, WalMart, etc.

What I did was I premade the Angel Food Cake the night before using this recipe - Homemade Angel Food Cake by Hip2Save. Then the next day I prepped everything and followed the directions by I Am Baker's A Very Berry Trifle Recipe and she is AWESOME!! I found a few recipes of hers I'm going to try it out!!! You don't have to make the Angel Food Cake from scratch, you can probably get a cake mix box and/or buy it if you don't have the time, I'm for sure it taste just as good.

At first I was planning to assemble mine in a regular size trifle bowl, but I decided to assemble them into small individual trifle bowls for a few of my family and friends and mason jars to go for some of my friends I was meeting up yesterday for dinner. It was a lot of fun and oh my soo soo good! Give them a try and let me know what you think.

Now go have fun and bake ;) I'm about to really head in my crafting room and craft a little hopefully or might end up organizing some new stamps I got!!! Can't wait to STAMP!!!

Thank you,
