Wedding Invitation - Nirla & Simon

Hi There!!!

WoooooHoooo!!!!  Wooohooo!!! Wooohooo!!! All 70 of these invitations are completed completed COMPLETED!!! It was such an honor to make these cards for Nirla and Simon. I want to THANK THEM for letting me be apart of there wonderful journey together.

So how did I come about making invitations?!?...hmm...so about two or so months ago, Jeremie, my friend's fiancee Emily asked me if I can make his friends' invitation who are getting married in July....of course I'M NOT GOING TO SAY NO. SO YES YES YES!!! And I'm glad I agreed to do it too, because Nirla and Simon, they are such a sweet cute couple. I'm so glad to meet them and be apart of this.

The invitation idea and inspiration were from Nirla and Simon. If you look at the invitation, there's two hearts represent Simon's homeland, Russia and the other Nirla's homeland in Peru. The two birdies are them who flew across oceans to find each other in SF. So the idea of a flight ticket was also inspired from that.

So here goes....here's alllllllll of them!!!! I'm so glad they loved the design and the layout! It was super-duper fun creating it and hehehe creating one was super fun....creating 70 was super challenging!!! But I did get to sit in front of the TV and catch some movies on Netflix. ;)

Here's all 70 invitations created, designed, handmade by me (I'm so proud I got it all done hehe)!!!!

Here's the set of invitation...

Here's three invitations side-by-side...

Here's the information invitation...

The directions from two different airport to the magical event....I thought was a cute idea to provide directions from the airport to the magical night. hehe giving that the invitation itself is "flying/traveling"....

 Here's the RSVP "tag"...

Thank you soooo much for dropping by!!! Let's all congrats these two love birds on their special journey becoming husband and wife and sharing a lifetime full of happiness together. CHEERS!!!

Love always, SMILE!!!

Fabulous Floral! April's Paper Crafters Sampler!

Gardens are coming to life.  Budding trees and perennials will soon fill our homes with burst of color and fragrance.  If your garden hasn’t awaken quite yet, try decorating with a few paper beauties.
The April issue of the Paper Crafter Sampler, “Fabulous Floral”, issue shares an array of ideas for beautifying your home with flowers until your outdoor garden is in full bloom.  All projects in this issue are focused around a floral theme.  You’ll find cheery and feminine crepe paper poppies, pop-up flower box cards and several lovely cards with flowers popping off the front.
This month’s template is a “Strawberry Pot”.  A little table top container for stuffing with faux strawberries or flowers.

You're 1 In A Million Mom - PPA198, FMS130, PP190

Hello to Monday!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know I sure did and the weather has been soooooo gorgeous! I hope you also did get a chance to be outside and take advantage of such a beautiful weather before it gets super super hot (eeeek!).

I thought I'll start making a Mother's Day card before (eeeek) it creeps up on me before I know it. My mom doesn't really have a favorite color, but she is simply beautiful so I tried to make this card clean and 'simple' (depends on how you interrupt simple hehe). So since she doesn't have a favorite color, why not take advantage of PPA Color Challenge (plus hehe my favorite color is all kinds of aqua color and Pool Party is my favorite color). So here goes...

And here's a close-up and the inside of the card - Plenty of room for my family to sign too...

I love making cards when I have someone in mind, especially a card for my cute adorable mom too! ;) And my mom, she IS one in a million (actually more than that). And I love the stainless technique too and heck it's an excuse to do some dry embossing too (always fun!!!). If you missed my older post on how to do the stainless technique (try it yourself you'll love it), click HERE. And hehe i got a little addicted with weaving it. ;) it brings back soooo much childhood memories...=)

Here are the inspiration I used, all these fun creative sooo soo talented teams Pals Paper Arts 198, Freshly Made Sketch 130, and The Paper Player 190

I had a lot of fun using the above challenges to create an elegant card for my oh so beautiful mom. Hope you'll join them too!

Buggie bye bye for now!

Love always, SMILE!!!
