Happy Birthday, Danny!

Hi All,

Today I want to share with you a special birthday card to a very special boy, named Danny Nickerson who is turning 6 years old on July 26th. He is currently battling cancer and he said all he wants for his upcoming birthday is a box of birthday cards...I was super moved from reading this. This all happened when a good friend of mine, Jennifer Ly thought of me and she knew I will be more than thrill and much more willing to make a card for this boy so she shared it on Facebook with me and her friends.

If you would like to send Danny a card, here's a little more information on News10: http://www.news10.net/story/news/nation/2014/07/22/5-year-old-with-cancer-just-wants-birthday-cards/12981511/

I was very touched when I read this and jumped right on it and started forwarding this to others too and others started sharing with others too. A few people joined and was moved...some are either sending him a card or personally making a card for him.

When I read his story, many things were going through my mind...he inspired me in so many ways...he became my hero, so I couldn't resist to make him a heroic card, telling him, he became others hero and letting him know not only his family is praying for him, but others he had touched.

Here's what I made for him and I hope he likes it...

I also included some stickers...If you know me, I've always collected stickers for years and stickers always puts a huge smile on my face, so I hope these stickers also puts a big smile on his sweet face as well. =)

Thanks to the Nickerson, I have something to give to Danny. Thank you so much for sharing and letting us share. We all wish Danny and the Nickersons the best.

Thank you for letting us become apart of this.

Love always, SMILE!!!

Wedding Invitation: Jolene & Gabe's Ticket to Love

Hi There,

So I have been crazy busy with helping out a very very good friend of mine, Jolene Lee with her wedding invitation. She saw what I did for Nirla and Simon's Wedding Invitation and absolutely loved it! So she called me and was like, I WANT THAT!!! You're hired!!! And of course I was like, HECK YEA!!! It's my absolute honor to be apart of this creation. I love what I did for Nirla and Simon and it represent their personally and their love for each other...So I want to do the same for Jolene and Gabe. So changed it to make it unique for them and to represent their love for each other.

To me, wedding invitations give your guests' first glimpse into your wedding style -- from the overall vibe and aesthetic to specific color combos and the level of formality. It also tells a little story of the couple and what they like. So I want to make it count for these two! =)

Talking to Jolene and Gabe, they are big time travelers, so this invitation totally represented them. Jolene's favorite color is orange which totally matches the fall theme they have going and Gabe favorite color is deep royal blue, which totally ties in with the global/water color. I have to admit, I was very scared that these two colors were too bold, but look how GREAT it turned out!!! I LOVE how it all came together...

[-- Jolene & Gabe's Ticket To Love Invitation Set --]
Look at how nice these two strong bold color compliment each other...totally a representation how strong and bold Jolene and Gabe fits perfectly together...It is actually strong, but at the same time subtle in some ways too. I loved how the slip-on vellum helped toned the color down a little and also added that extra elegant touch to the invitation.

[-- Ticket To Love Invitation --]
Love love LOVE how the invitation turned out. Love how nice, strong and bold the map turned out and by adding SU! Crystal Effect Jolene and Gabe's name and the birdies, totally gave it that extra WOW look!!! I tried to re-layout the information, but I loved how I had it, it is nice and clean and I couldn't resist to add more SU! Crystal Effect to their names and the birdies too ;)

[-- The RSVP Tag --]
I love how this turned out and by using the SU! World Map Stamp (W 130342/C 130345) totally added that extra touch to it and by using the heat embossed technique, totally classed it up! Can you see the crystal effect on the names, totally gave it pop look and on the birdies too.

[-- The Slip-On...To Hold It All Together --]
Adding the slip-on not only hold the invitation and the rsvp tag together, but it also gave it subtle look, calming the two strong bold colors. Then adding the birdies and the heart, gave it another pop look and tied everything together.

[-- The Envelope--]
At first, I used a nice white shimmer paper, but it just didn't feel natural, so I used the SU! Natural Ivory Cardstock to tied the "nature" theme together, but also by making it clean and just adding the birdies with a cute little heart....it all screamed out PERFECT! =)

[-- All 75 Invitations --]
Here's all 75 invitations done! Shipped to them! And I can't wait for them to receive them and send their ticket to love out to their families and friends! ;)

 [-- To Jolene & Gabe...From Me --]
I want to wish these two love birds a life time of happiness.
And continue to travel and explore the world together...
Spreading and sharing your love. =)

I also want to thank Jolene for being such an awesome friend
all these years! I'm so glad even though we distanced for a while
we reconnected again. Sorry Jo Jo, you're sucked in my life too ;)

I love being apart of these wonderful creation. Thanks for dropping by!!! Let me know what you think by posting a comment ;) Until next time =)

Love always, SMILE!!!

Hiking: Muir Woods (Including Steep Ravine/Dipsea Trails)

Hi There!!!

Today, I’m posting a hiking experience I did on Sunday, July 13, 2014. A few people found it useful when I did it on my personal Facebook status and since a few friends are enjoy hikes, I thought I’ll add it to my crafting world blog as well. I hope for those who find it useful, let me know by posting a comment on my blog. I also hope those who follow me for crafting don’t mind me posting pictures about my joy of hiking, as much as my joy for crafting =)

-- Muir Woods National Monument --
Location: 1 Muir Woods Road, Mill Valley, CA 94941
Difficulty: Moderate, Some areas of inclines/declines/stairs/flats/paved
Length: Many different trails to choose from, so it varies
Duration: Depends on which trails you choose from
Parking: Some parks like Pantoll is $8. Some parking is free, street parking as well as lot parking. Admission to Muirwood is $7/person. You can avoid the fee altogether by starting your hike at any of the surrounding trails that will lead you inside the park. However, it's a long way to get there if you just want to view the Redwoods.
Overview: If you love fresh air, nature, green lush foliage, and beautiful coastal redwoods, you will love this National Monument. You do not have to be an avid hiker to walk these trails, some of which are even paved. Muir Woods has trails for varied levels of fitness, you pick and choose and plan your today’s adventure. ;) And make memories with whoever you are going, so make sure to smile for the camera/phone. Make sure you’re ready to POSE, BE SILLY, ENJOY AND CUTE ;) SMILE!!!

-- Resources I Used --
Map: Please print out the map, especially if you want to explore and don’t want to get lost. Plus you can extend or shorten your trail as you go: http://www.nps.gov/muwo/upload/muir_woods_pad_map.pdf. At Muir Woods, there are the bigger map brochure. But I actually like this a lot more because it was simplified and easier to follow.

Water: 2-3 bottles per person, depending how long you hike
Food: Snacks/Make a sandwich/Power Bars/etc.
Family Friendly: From Muir Woods entrance (you might not be able to avoid the fee), the road is paved and even friendly to push stroller and wheelchair accessible too. This spot is a well-known tourist, so it gets packed and loud at times.

-- My Today’s Hiking Adventure Overview  --
Time: Started at 8am, Finished by 1pm
Duration: 9-10ish miles
Weather: Overcast, 60ish, breezy
Trails: We did two different trails.

·      Our first trail was Dipsea to Steep Ravine Loop: http://www.everytrail.com/guide/dipsea-trail-steep-ravine-loop: From Pantoll Ranger Station, $8.00 fee for parking, we started the Steep Ravine Trail. It was all decline, you walk along the stream, so peaceful and full of lushy green and tall trees. Then you’ll see the trail split, if you're heading to Dipsea to Stinson take that route, but we wanted to do Dipsea Trail to Muir Woods. On this trail, you go up a flight of stairs to heaven hehe there were like about 100 steps or maybe it felt like it. Then headed back taking Old Mine Trail to Pantoll Ranger Station.

·       Then we were like heck we are here and it’s sooo nice out here and we are still full of energy, let’s go to Muir Woods!!!! So…From Pantoll Ranger Station, we took Old Mine Trail to Dipsea Trail to Muir Woods Entrance. There is a split, you can either take Dipsea/Ben Johson to get to Muir Woods Entrance. Once you get to Muir Woods Enterance, it's all paved and that's the tourist spot. It's sooo pretty there, take lots of photos!!! Then we headed back taking the Ben Johnson Trail to Old Mine Trail back to Pantoll Ranger Station. It was SUPER worth the extra hike! The great thing about hiking today is that, you can pick and choose which trails you want to take! Make it shorter, make it longer...Totally up to you! =)

-- Here Are Some Pictures of Our Hiking Adventure --
For those who doesn't know me, I ENJOY capturing moments and I LOVE silly funny pictures because when you look back at pictures, it adds that extra uplifting smile ;) I tried to organized our pictures based on the trails we did. The first five pictures are all the first trail we did. The rest are to Muir Woods.

See what I meant by the beautiful of Muir Woods and all it's surrounding. It's just sooooooo BEAUTIFUL!!! And with the right company, it added the extra fun to today's hike!

Jennifer, Happy Bday & Yummie Cookies

Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday Dear Jennifer...
Happy Birthday to you!!!!
Hike Hike Hike hehe =)

Today I want to share with you one of my closest friends for years and recently became my wonderful weekend hiking buddy!!! =) And a few others and my mom is starting to go hiking with me too...opps...don't let me get off topic...

Our friendship started back in the 8th grade and it grew stronger as we age. She is the type of friend who doesn't just go that extra mile for you, because she'll go BEYOND that. Through the years, especially through the past 2-3 years, I couldn't thank her enough for what she've done and I hope that she knows that not just me, but everyone around her appreciates her sooo stinking much. So I want to make her a card that shows how blooming great she is and baked some cookies for her. I like to bake cookies, because I usually separate the dough into two batches...so you get a little varieties ;) So, one of them is a White Chocolate Chip Mac cookies and the other batch is well, I think she likes Coconut, Pecans and Chocolate Chip...hopefully she does...And knowing me, I can't just give her the cookies so hehe it needed to be packaged. So I made these milk carton where the top comes off...and I love wrapping my cookies individually so the freshness last longer and if she wants to share with others, it'll be easier too ;) Here you go Jenn Jenn!!!

[--Milk Carton Topper Comes Off Treats--]

Can you tell her favorite color is Lavender/Purple? It's actually one of my eh-not-so-much loved colors, so I always have a hard time pulling it off, but I hope I did...I got to admit, adding pink helped hehe =) Here's her birthday blooming card ;) as lovely, as pretty as her ;)

 [--Front of the Card--]

[--Inside & Back of the Card--]

Happy Birthday Jenn!!! Thank you for always being so AWESOME!!! And for being a mother of two, I don't know how you do it, but thank you so much for always finding time to still hang out with me and do our weekly hike! You're a SUPER WOMAN!!! =)
