Mustache 30th Birthday - George Hoang

Hi There!!!

Today I want to share with you what my family and I did for one of my brothers, George Hoang who turned the big-fat-3-0 on Sunday, May 25th. We decided to throw him a surprised birthday party, BUT it actually ended up being a surprised for everyone! So what happened is that, we first planned to celebrate his birthday at his place, making him buy the pizzas (kekeke) with a few of us being able to make it while others prepping for his birthday. He was happy, but keke we tired to disappoint him in some ways too by also not making it a big deal...as if it is just another day. Our plan worked....

Our plan was to have him drop off one of his son for us to babysit at one of our sisters, Michelle's house later that day. Well, what my family didn't know is that, one of our sisters, Lien and her daughters who weren't supposed to make it....well, THEY DID!!! And boy oh boy was everyone surprised....ONE-BY-ONE, even the birthday boy and his family were surprised!!!

....and once again, the Hoangs unite! hehe Having a big family is super-duper hard for us to get together and when we do, we're very grateful and of course picture time!!!!

Here's what we did for his 30th birthday, the theme was a Mustache theme with some fun decoration....
[Dessert Table]
We wanted to do a fun "Dessert Table" on the things he love.

and were filled with his favorite candy - snicker bars.

[Soft-Baked Monster Cookies Package]
I wanted to make a big cookie for a big big boy my brother is turning,
Soft-Baked Monster Cookies Package: Cookie Clear Bags, Mustache punch using Whisper White Cardstock, Chalk Talk stamp set used Whisper White ink stamped on Basic Black Cardstock using Chalk Talk Framelits wrapped with Cherry Cobbler Twine.

[Mustache All Over]

The mustaches is an EK Success punch...I punched them out using Basic Black and glued them on toothpick, sticks, forks, spoons, knives, the bags of chips, candies, anything I can get my hands on keke.
....and we added a [Photo Booth]

Hi There,

And...okay, I got to admit, I'm a little heat embossing crazy...hehe I really wanted a star background and I didn't have any dsp, so I saw Project Life Point & Click stamp set and was like hey!!! wouldn't it be nice to use that stars stamp and create a background....and soooo I did and what is a better pair to make a graduation card...Pomp & Circumstance!!!! Mini Box Idea and Yummie Lemon Bars &Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes

Hello there!

Been a crazy May for me! Lots of going on, thought I'll share something I made for one of my sisters' birthday, that I finally had the chance to sit down and post this.

These are some cute cute boxes that were made from the Envelope Punch Board (and that's all it needs), then I decorated it with different flower punches - Pansy Punch, Boho Blossoms Flower Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (my all time favorite set) and then go have fun and enjoy putting them together!

I made her favorite Lemon Bars that I found on Food Network Lemon Bars (however, I decreased the sugar to 2 cups and increased the lemon juice by 1/4 cup more because my sister likes it a little more lemony and a little less sweet). Then I found this yummie chocolate chip cookies that just looks solo adorable to make - fluffy and yummie - by Sally Baking Addiction - The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies; however, I did add 1 package of vanilla pudding to give it that extra yummiest!

Hope you enjoyed today's packaging idea and some yummie recipes you must try!

Thanks for dropping by!!! Yummie-Bye! ;)

May Paper Crafters Sampler Issue Release!

Hi There!!!

Paper Crafters Sampler:

We've put together a fun yet challenging Sampler together for May. This month offers three times more flair than the previous issue.

The request this month varied from holiday and seasonal issues we've had in the past. Our May issue, "Thrice In Design," takes a whack at design projects with trio's, three's and third's in mind. Each project simply had to contain "3" of something, be in images, layers, or shapes.

Once again the design team pulled through and the creativity of each project shows.

This month's template is also designed with the trio concept in mind; the Pocketed Triptych.

Happy Mother's Day Butterflies - FMS135

Goodie Morning!!!!

Happy Saturday! I wanted to start off Saturday with another card for my sister, Elaine Hoang for Mother's day from her husband and daughter to her. They want to let her know that she is a wonderful super-duper loving caring mom and wanted to thank her for all she've done. Happy Mother's Day, Elaine!!!

I am warming up to the color purple/lavender....so PHEW! So glad this card turned out just the way I wanted it to be. I wanted to make an elegant card for her, and when I think of elegant I think of butterflies...so here goes...

Some close-ups, inside of the card, and the back of the card....and she IS ONE IN A MILLION! =)

A Little Fun - HOW TOs:
To create the background, it's very simple. Use a Brayer run it through your ink pad to pick up the ink (just like if you were to paint your house). Then roll it on the paper, reply ink on Brayer if needed. Then use an embossed folder and emboss away! You'll get that extra lovely painted background. What fun!!!

For the banner, I sponged it after I ran it through the crinkle using Whisper White Pigment Ink.

Here is the inspiration sketched I used, Freshly Made Sketches FMS135
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOMS OUT THERE!!! You guys are AMAZING!!! You ROCK!

Thanks for dropping by!!! Bye! ;)
