Stampin Up Festive Flurry - PPA #174

Helloooo to Snowflakes!

Oh my my my my my a million times my my my my myyyyy hehe…

It is feeling so much like Christmas!!! I love this cold weather and what is the best thing to do, MAKE SNOWFLAKES!!! AND also give myself a little challenge.

I bumped into this site the other day and so glad they have a challenge this week. Today’s feature the Pals Paper Arts (PPA) - Color Challenge #174 using Elegant Eggplant, Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla.

It’s actually really fun to submit in these challenges, because it helps inspire me when my mind is block.

For the cards, I used SU Festive Flurry (131778/131781) and Festive Flurry Framelits Dies (132193) but don’t forget to order the Bundle and SAVE! (133284/133285). These are a must MUST MUST MUST have!!! =) It is so much fun to use and the possibilities are ENDLESS! I stamped each size of the snowflakes and then rant it through my big shot with the framelits dies.

For this card, I try to keep it super elegant and simple by using the same layers of tone with hints of designs (like embossed the very vanilla card stock using SU Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Folder (132174) to create that background). Then used strong colors for the snowflake to make it stand out. Used SU Polar Party stamp set sentiment "Wishing You Christmas Cheer and a Happy New Year!" For the inside of the card, I decided to use elegant eggplant card stock and pressed it over Very Vanilla ink pad to create that frosty look - turned out pretty well. I also did the same with the SU Heart Punch too. Used Christmas Message sentiment "Hoping your Christmas is trimmed with the love and warmth of family and friends." Hope you like this one…

For this card, I went a little over with it, it's like a pound heavy hehe. I created a scallop and glued it in between the biggest snowflake and the middle to give it that height. Then using dimensions, I added the small snowflake and added a SU Heart punch (love this punch) and finished it off with a gray/silver bow. Added a little sentiment from SU Greetings of the Season stamp set (128030/128033) which works elegantly with this card. This card was layered with dsp after dsp then ribbon after another. Super-duper love how this card turned out. For the inside, super cool, I used the Very Vanilla ink and stamped the snowflake to create that snowflake background, super loved it! For the sentiment I used inside "Wishing you a Christmas season filled with joy and laughter" is from SU Christmas Messages (131793). and this one was super complicated but fun...

And this challenge doesn't end here. For this card, I kept it super clean and elegant. This one I kind of was thinking of if I were in a relationship, what kind of card i would give to my other half…so I created this thinking of that…added two little hearts on the bottom of the sentiment "Happy Christmas" and the inside of the card (super-duper cute)…"All I want for Christmas If YOU," from SU Christmas message - SUPER LOVE IT!!! And reminds me of the song too…love Christmas songs! =)

I had sooooo much fun making this and entering them in the challenge. I hope the Pals Paper Arts Ladies like my cards too. =)

and by the way, here's the color challenge...
